Spring is one of the best season to travel to Vienna. The city is in full bloom and every district has pretty magnolias, sakura or spring flowers.
I’m obsessed with magnolia trees and cherry blossom. Spring is the season, when I’m on standby and I make sure that I visit the most famous flower spots and take pictures just in the right time. But when is the right time? It’s not easy to tell, because it’s depends on the weather. Magnolia and Sakura are blooming quite at the same time, could start from the mid March but this year in 2021 it started later, the first week of April. The blossom last unfortunately very short, maximum 1 week and then they fall off, that’s why timing is very important. Especially because spring photoshoots are very popular, We have a short an intensive period, but I promise, it’s worth the effort.
Let’s see my favorite Spring spots in Vienna
1. MAGNOLIA TREE STADTPARK

I can never decide which magnolia tree looks more beautiful: the white or the pink one. However, I certainly say, that this white magnolia tree in the Burggarten is gorgeous. It’s a popular spot to have a picnic under the tree. This location is also versatile, not just the white magnolia worth it, but if you prefer pink colors, you

6. SETAGAYAPARK – JAPANESE GARDEN
It’s a tiny little park located in the 19. district in Vienna. It is designed by a japanese landscape gardener. Setagayapark emulates a Japanese landscape and it contains several garden elements that are typical of Japanese gardens. It even has a Japanese tea house, a “Yukimi style” stone lantern and a fountain as well. The purpose of this design is that “people should observe this work of art in tranquillity and try to find their own inner peace.”

How to get there: Take a tram number 37 (at U2 Schottentor, or U6 Nussdorferstrasse), stop Barawitzkagasse
7. DANUBE PARK – DONAUPARK
Donaupark is the second largest garden in Vienna. It’s approximately 604,000 m² and located in the 22nd district of Vienna Donaustadt. The park has several magnolia and cherry blossom trees. My favorite spot is near the Donauturm. There is a little route in the middle of the park, lined with green grass on both side and cherry blossom trees in the middle.
